Learn the most important rules of presenting a project, discuss the design of your pitch poster and - most importantly - test your pitch!

Anyone who wishes to pitch a project should e-mail or wetransfer their poster and the filled-out factsheet (will be sent to you by ASO) to both the ASI and the ASO . The school will take care of printing the posters for you. Please download and work with the .indd file to be found in: animation -> studierende -> Vorlagen -> Vorlage_Poster

17. Sept Pitch Pitch Day

Each pitch must be done in under 5 minutes. In case English-speaking teachers are present, pitches will be held in English. Voting sheets will be handed out after all pitches and the posters will hang until the end of the selection process.

Choose which 3 projects are your favourites (will be anonymously tallied), your 1st choice will receive 3 points, your 3rd choice 1 point respectively... these points will add up to the total best-of.

Choose also which 3 projects you could imagine working on, naming the project title, your favourite imagined role on the project, plus specific functions and talents you could imagine working on. E-mail the ASO both nomination trios.

2. April (tbc) BA project Milestone: Greenlight

All projects present their most recent Animatic along with the current state of their Lineproducing. Jürgen Haas, Thomas Gassmann and Lineproducing will evaluate if proceeding with foleys is realistic. If not, alternative steps will be recommended (in the most extreme cases, foleys/sounddesign can be delayed until next year or transferred to an external producer).

30. April Promo Postcard files deadline

Make a folder with your project's name (ASO sends server info) and upload a tiff-picture (min. 1900 x 1370 px). Please note that 3mm will be cut off on each side! Optionally you can also upload a small, square picture as postage-stamp placeholder. Big sponsors' logos are added by Gerd Gockell, if you are supported by a small community or institution, ask them if they want their name to be mentioned in writing or with their logo (only the name would be easier for us).

Also add the following information as an .rtf or .word file: Film title, length in minutes, names of directors, e-mail addresses. (Think about creating your own e-mail for on the postcard i.e. contact@yourfilmname.com)

Important: your film title will be definite from now on!

HSLU students are uniquely allowed to send unfinished works-in-progress to be viewed by the Jury. So if you're lucky, your film can then be screened as a premiere at the Fantoche International Animation Festival in September!
