Synopsis / Summary / Résumé
- DE: Es ist Hochsommer in Kyoto und das O-Bon-Fest steht vor der Tür. Ungeduldig erwarten die Menschen dieses Fest, denn es gehen bekanntlich Wünsche in Erfüllung. Viele erbitten sich Reichtum, Schönheit und Gesundheit. Nur Nashi nicht, ein Obdachloser, der mit seinem Körpergeruch die Luft verpestet und zunehmend zu einer Gefahr wird. Er möchte nur noch eines: Sich in einem Badehaus gründlich waschen zu können. Dies gelingt ihm auch mit vielen Hürden und Schrecken in der besonderen Nacht des O-Bons.
- EN: In Kyoto, it is in the middle of summer and the O-Bon festival is approaching. Everyone eagerly awaits this annual event, because it is well known that wishes come true. Most of them want wealth, beauty and health. Except Nashi, a homeless man who pollutes the air with his body odour to the point of becoming more and more of a public hazard. His only real wish is to bathe in a public bath.
- FR: A Kyoto, c'est en plein été que la fête d'O-Bon approche. Tout le monde attend avec impatience cet événement annuel, car on le sait bien, les voeux se réalisent. La plupart d'entre eux souhaitent la richesse, la beauté et la santé. Sauf Nashi, un sans-abri qui pollue l'air avec son odeur corporelle au point de devenir de plus en plus un danger public. Son seul et véritable souhait serait de pouvoir se laver dans une baignoire d'un bain public.
