• DE: «Searching for the 5th Direction» ist eine Reise durch die vergessenen und dunklen Orte einer inneren Welt. Die Suche nach dem Selbst, die damit verbundenen Erinnerungen und Emotionen treiben uns dabei an. Wir bewegen uns durch verschiedene Räume, deren Atmosphäre unsere Neugier weckt oder uns dazu veranlasst diese möglichst schnell zu verlassen. Dabei werden wir immer wieder vermeintlichen Widerständen ausgesetzt, die uns am Wechsel der Räume zu hindern versuchen. «Searching for the 5th Direction» spielt mit einer scheinbaren Interaktivität, die durch die Kameraführung impliziert wird, nur um uns plötzlich in tiefere, emotionale Schichten dieser inneren Welt zu katapultieren. Am Ende des Films bleiben wir ohne klare Antworten, mit Fragen und Anregungen zum Weiterdenken zurück.

• EN: «Searching for the 5th Direction» is a journey through the forgotten and dark places of an inner world. The search for the self, the associated memories and emotions drive us. We move through different rooms, whose atmosphere arouses our curiosity or causes us to leave them as quickly as possible. In the process, we are repeatedly exposed to supposed resistances that try to prevent us from changing rooms. "Searching for the 5th Direction" plays with an apparent interactivity implied by the camera work, only to suddenly catapult us into deeper, emotional layers of this inner world. At the end of the film we are left without clear answers, with questions and suggestions to think further.

• FR: «Searching for the 5th Direction» est un voyage à travers les lieux oubliés et obscurs d'un monde intérieur. La recherche de soi, les souvenirs et les émotions qui y sont liés nous y poussent. Nous nous déplaçons dans différentes pièces dont l'atmosphère éveille notre curiosité ou nous incite à les quitter au plus vite. Ce faisant, nous sommes sans cesse confrontés à de prétendues résistances qui tentent de nous empêcher de changer d'espace. "Searching for the 5th Direction" joue sur une interactivité apparente, impliquée par le mouvement de la caméra, uniquement pour nous catapulter soudain dans des couches émotionnelles plus profondes de ce monde intérieur. À la fin du film, nous restons sans réponses claires, avec des questions et des suggestions pour continuer à réfléchir.
