Required Records

Projects missing these deadlines will not be accepted for the final exam.

12. June 2020

until 16:00 (CET) upload your Project to the server (folder will be communicated by the ASO) including English Subtitles. This version will be shown at the BA presentation in front of the jury and at the school's Werkschau.

15. June 2020

until 16:00 (CET) use the Template for Studentfilm and Template for Studentpage to add all information about you and your films made at this school to our aniwiki.

16. June 2020

until 16:00 (CET) upload all files according to the Project Submission to the server. The location will be communicated a week in advance.

In addition: zip the following files, give the zip a logical name and copy it to the same folder as the film above.

  • 6 Stills
  • a picture of the filmmakers
  • a short biography of the filmmakers and the synopsis of the film in German and English in a plain text file
  • a list of the credits in a plain text

17. June 2020

until 16:00 (CET) upload your BA presentation (as Powerpoint or Keynote file) to the server under: projects -> _3BA_Projektordner -> 05_BA-Presentation -> NameOfYourFilm

At your presentation in front of the Jury, we will use exactly this file.

Make sure to test it beforehand on another computer and that all video/audio files work.

Presentations and Jury 18.-19. June 2020

The presentations in front of the jury in the REX cinema are held between Wednesday 19. - Friday 21. June 2019 in the cinama REX - room 045. The jury members this year are Schwaller Christian (Replacing Jürgen Haas), Gasser Christian, Mumford Jane and as external juror, Franziska Bruckner of AG Animationsfilm, Germany. The presentation of the projects is open to the public and can be held in german or english depending on the external jury member.

You are allowed to choose one practical criteria (i.e. animation, story, character design, editing, post-production etc...) and one presentation criteria (command of language, free speaking, structure of presentation, technical knowledge transferral, graphic layout of presentation slides etc...) of your choice to help boost your results. See timetable below for the deadlines of naming both criteria.

Werkschau 2020 (tbc)

The Werkschau takes place from Friday to Sunday __ - __ June 2020 at the Messe Luzern . The vernissage starts Friday 19. June 2020 at 18:00 (CET).

Exhibition buildup is from Monday to Friday ___ - ___ June 2020, the dismantling on Monday ____ July 2019. Responsible for the coordination is the artistic assistant .

Premiere 2020

The premiere starts on Wednesday 24. June 2020 at 18:00 (CET) at the Cinema Maxx, Emmenbrücke, followed by an aperitif.

Diplomas 2020 (tbc)

The diplomas will be given to you on Saturday 27. June 2020 (tbc) at the Messe Luzern. The invitations will be sent to you from the offices of Hochschule Luzern.

Friday, 3. July 2020

until 16:00 (CET) upload the trailers (max. 45 seconds) of your films to the server (Folder will be communicated by ASO)

The trailer will be uploaded to our vimeo site and can be linked to your vimeo account. (You must have a vimeo account and have us " Do not upload your final film immediately to an online platform without consulting Chantal Molleur first. You can upload you entire film after it has done its first round of important festivals (usually about a year) to your platform of choice. Please create a link to our site as the producer of your film.
