Vorteile:
-Die Filmtitel können alle, egal ob Teil einer Compilation oder auf eigenständiger DVD, über die selbe Suchfunktion gefunden werden (Eingabe über Suchfeld oben rechts und vom gesamten Aniwiki aus)
-Die bestehenden und neue Medien können schnell und einfach in die Struktur integriert werden. (Ohne Laufnummerngenerator oder aufwändige dauernde neualphabetisierung)
-Die Trägermedien, sprich DVDs und VHS Kassetten, werden anhand einer 4-stelligen Nummer chronologisch eingeordnet. Die Träger sind so einfach in ein Regal einzuordnen, welches allenfalls in ein 50er Register eingeteilt ist. (0-50 / 51-100 / 101-150 /151-200 / u.s.f.)
Nachteile:
-Die Ordnung der Träger im Regal basiert lediglich auf der 4-Stelligen Registriernummer. Es besteht keine Relation mehr zwischen dem Titeln des Werkes und dessen Position im Regal.
