I'm Laura Kohler and I'm 27 years old.
My wobbly strokes and distorted proportions are an integral part of my work. "Ordinary" everyday situations and the imperfect inspire me. Ordinary in quotation marks and endings, because nothing is actually ordinary. Every moment brings something new, even if it seems ordinary.
I am moved by authenticity. Sounds very cheesy, but that's the way it is. A work that is allowed to develop as it pleases and doesn't have to be polished to perfection. I like the raw and direct.
