- DE: Ein Statement an unsere wundervoll-gierige Welt. Inspiriert von einer Anekdote aus dem boomenden Tokio der 80er Jahre erzählt der Film die glamouröse Geschichte vom skrupellosen Immobilienhai Akio Kashiwagi. Seine Leidenschaft ist das verbotene Gambling in der Unterwelt. Ein Amerikaner ist ihm auf der Spur, doch Akios grösster Feind ist seine eigene unstillbare Gier.
- EN: A statement about our wonderfully greedy world. Inspired by an anecdote from the booming Tokyo of the 80s, the film tells the glamorous story of the vicious property shark Akio Kashiwagi. His passion is illegal gambling in the underworld. An American is on his trail, but Akio's greatest enemy is his own insatiable greed.
