It benefits from a strong international network of artists, professionals, companies, funding institutions and partner schools. Das Animationsinstitut is located in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and is part of the school Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. It is located next to Stuttgart, where every year the ITFS and the FMX take place, and is thus closely linked to the larger animation industry. During the spring semester (when you will most likely be going there) their students all pitch in to mainly help the graduation films get made. This means you have the chance to peek inside the production of other group's work processes and be involved in making one of their films become reality.

Attention: There is the exceptional possibility for this school to ask for an exchange in the 3rd Semester, when they work on the yearly trailer for the ITFS!

Course language: Their Grundstudium is mainly German, the Projektstudium mainly in English and their Technical Directing specialisation is purely in English.
