Objectiv / Zielsetzung

The participants know historical questions and starting points for the evaluation of films and audiovisual media formats and have reference projects for their own practical work.
They are able to classify those in the context of critical questions.

Content / Inhalt

The two-semester seminar introduces fundamental developments and historical moments and related theoretical concepts from the history of media and film. The focus is on short and cross-platform audiovisual formats, on experimental examples from the history of animated and real films, as well as the electronic media, radio, tv and computer.
