Richtlinien zum Festivalversand

Grundsätzliches

• Vor der Anmeldung sind die Filme gemäss Filmabgabe abzugeben und alle Angaben zum Film müssen gemäss Vorlage für Studentenfilme in diesem Wiki hinterlegt sein
• Filme aus dem 1. oder 2. Jahr werden erst nach Absprache mit dem Leitungsteam organisatorisch unterstützt
• Das HSLU Logo muss im Abspann gezeigt werden

Die Anmeldung an einem Festival

• The BA Animation offers to its undergraduates one year of promotion for their graduation films from the moment of the school premiere until the next year premiere.

We have a festival list (https://wiki.animation-luzern.ch/index.php?title=Liste_Filmfestivals) to which we send a personalised email to the festival programmers on that list and inform them of the new films. Parallel to this contact, the undergraduates have the possibility to submit officially their films to these festivals using the information on that list or accessing online submission platforms.

We answer all incoming requests concerning our newer or older graduation films. We also receive at the department different special requests for older films and or asked to present special programs.

The department submits officially to the following festivals each year the new films: Locarno, Winterthur, Solothurn, Animatou and Fantoche. We also make sure the undergraduates get the information on their eligibility for the Schweizer Filmpreis. The department has direct contacts with many festivals like Leipzig, Annecy, Stuttgart and many others through the network of Jürgen, Jane, Gerd and Chantal.

We also send festivals the digital screening copies. Jean creates every year DCPs, ProRes, MOV and any other requested screening file format links. Chantal works with these links every time there is one or more of our films selected.

We also send the festivals information on the department and our films using the aniwiki.

Chantal inform everyone at the department of the undergraduates successes that are pushed on our website and social medias thanks to the work of Owley and we keep track of the many screenings of the department films over the years.

We give support direct support to our undergraduates answering their different questions.

All of this in ongoing for one year the moment you graduate until the next class graduate. This support sometimes continues for special screenings or questions from your sides.

Nach Annahme des Films an einem Festival

• Wenn euer Film gezeigt wird, informiert ihr die Assistenten über
  • Filmtitel
  • vom Festival gewünschtes Format (DCP, Bluray, 35mm, Beta SP, DigiBeta...)
  • Adresse des Festivals und der Name der verantwortlichen Person
  • Zeitpunkt (wann die Kopie beim Festival sein muss)
  • Zeitpunkt des Festivals
  • allfällige Festivalgewinne

Zusätzliche Tipps

Erstellt einen durch ein Passwort geschützten Vimeo Link, der nur zur Sichtung für Festivals dient.

DCP / 35mm Kopie

Wird ein Film an einem der oben genannten Festivals angenommen und gezeigt, bezahlt die HSLU BA Animation maximal zwei DCP oder 35mm-Kopien dieses Films. Diese Kopien sind Eigentum des Studienbereichs. Jede weitere Kopie müsst Ihr selber bestellen und selber bezahlen. Vor der Ausspielung einer 35mm Kopie bitte die Studiengangsleitung kontaktieren.

Die Assistenz leitet Kopien, die auf mehreren Festivals gezeigt werden, möglichst effizient weiter. Nach Ablauf der genannten 2 Jahresfrist bekommt Ihr die Informationen, wo die Kopien sind und müsst Euch fortan selber darum kümmern. Die beiden 35mm-Kopien, die Eigentum HSLU-BA-Animation sind, müssen nach Ende der Festivalbeschickung an uns zurückgesandt werde. Sie werden bei uns archiviert.

Benötigte Informationen

Wenn die oben aufgeführten Angaben fehlen oder die Assistenz zu spät informiert wird, werden die Filme nicht verschickt! Wichtig ist auch, dass ihr uns eure aktuelle Emailadresse zustellt, da eure Schul Emailadressen nach dem Studium gelöscht werden.

Andere Festivals

Falls Ihr Eure Filme auf andere Festivals als die vier oben genannten schickt, so müsst Ihr dies komplett selber organisieren und bearbeiten. Wenn Ihr die Kopien verpackt und am Sekretariat abgebt (und nur dann), bezahlt der Studienbereich die Portokosten. Wir stehen euch bei allfälligen Fragen gerne zu Verfügung.

Was passiert 2 Jahre nach dem BA Abschluss

In der Regel dauert die Auswertung 2 Jahre. Zum einen weil man vielleicht einmal in Festival verpasst hat, zum andern, weil es teilweise Festivals gibt, welche nur alle 2 Jahre stattfinden. 1 Jahr nach dem BA Abschluss kümmert sich die Schule um die Screeningkopie. Anmeldungen und Kontakt mit dem Festival liegen bei Euch. Die Rechte zum Film ändern sich dadurch nicht. Anfragen von Festivals an uns werden falls möglich kommentarlos an Eure privaten Emailadressen weitergeleitet.
