The Willem de Kooning Academie (WdKA) is located in Rotterdam, Holland. They promote a strong line of cross-media / interactive / socially critical filmmakers. They are future-oriented, experimental, open and innovative, leaving their students a lot of freedom to find their own individual interests. At the same time, this form of teaching relies on the students' own motivation to pro-actively persue their projects.
Rotterdam's harbour and large natural park, the diverse cultural influences and its historical areas are highlights for many exchange students' visits.
