This wiki contains information about Animation Luzern, the Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Master in Film at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and helps to promote it's student projects.

Primary language is English but because of various reasons some pages are written in German. Use an online translation tool to read them.
Education
Das Animationsstudium für den Bachelorabschluss an der Hochschule Luzern – Design & Kunst dauert 6 Semester, das entspricht 180 ECTS. Das Studium ist aus verschiedenen Modulen zusammengesetzt, die sowohl vertiefend fachspezifisch zur Animation, wie auch interdisziplinär (IDA- und ISA Module) und zur (Kunst- und Film)Theorie ausgerichtet sind. Jedes Semester wird von einer Semesterendpräsentation (SEP) abgeschlossen. Hier zeigt ihr in ca. 10 Minuten auf prägnante, unterhaltsame Weise einzeln oder in Gruppen eure Arbeiten die im Verlauf des Semesters entstanden sind. Die vorlesungsfreie Zeit wird zur Vorbereitung der SEP, zum Abschluss oder Korrektur von Projekten, oder dem Erarbeiten eigener, animationsnaher Interessensgebiete genutzt.
Man hat 6 Jahre Zeit, das Studium zu absolvieren. So besteht die Möglichkeit, ein Zwischenjahr zu machen, um ggf. Geld zu verdienen oder Lebenserfahrung zu sammeln.
Während des Studiums ist es ebenfalls möglich, nach Wunsch und Möglichkeit Praktika zu absolvieren oder ein Austauschsemester bei einer unserer Partnerschulen zu machen. Mehr dazu auf der Unterseite Exchange.
Da ein Teil des Unterrichts in Englisch stattfinden wird, internationale Austauschstudierende zu Gast sind und darüber hinaus die Animationscommunity international geprägt ist, sind gute Englischkenntniss von Vorteil. Wer also in dieser Beziehung noch Defizite hat, sollte sein Englisch so bald wie möglich auffrischen. (z.B. entsprechende Kurse der HSLU oder Migros Klubschule).
